Dried limestone sand is used to fill the void --- instead of the slurry mud mixture used for mudjacking. The sand is "free-flowing" so the entire void is filled. The sand has less than 2% moisture content, so no evaporation or resettling to worry about. The low moisture content in the sand also eliminates the freeze/thaw cycle that cracks and weakens concrete.
